CANADA DAY 2010 AT WHYTOCK PARK, MADOC, ONTARIO
Brief Meeting
On Saturday June 19, Canada Day Committee had a brief meeting in attendance was April Rodgers, Kelly Cronkright, Larry Bradley and Elsie Green, Mike Turner, Michelle Turner.
For discussion: was the setup for the day before and the day of the event as well as cleanup after the event. When was April going to collect donations for the event, April to write letters for O.P.P and for Madoc Farm Supply for a few items. Also on the discussion table was what was left to be done for the day of the event such as port potties, handwashing stations, and fireworks, where to put signs out for directions

APPROVAL FOR APRIL MINUTES: None
APPROVAL FOR AGENDA: -Thank you letters to Jean, Marilyn for the space provided for the yard sale and BBq and Larry, Elsie and Cadets for all their hard work at the Yard Sale and BBQ and Yuk Yuks.
- Sale of flags will be replaced by tickets sales of $500 spending spree with Madoc Home Hardware and Canada Day Events Committee---tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5
-Canada Day schedule will add Wild Blue Yonder drumming workshop in place of Felix Taylor
- agreed to attend more events as promotional and not as proceeds to come in
-hosting a family day iactivity day at the Kiwanis Feb 2011
-possibly sell bird seed in bulk at market Square
-mailbox has expired and need new address change to RR# 3 Madoc
CORRESPONDENCE: None
FINANCIAL REPORT: Yuk Yuks generated approximately $1175
-Yard Sale and BBQ generated approximately $300
-All financial reports have gone to Bonnie Jones at the Municipality of Centre Hastings and Jim Bakker of Chamber of Commerce
NEW BUSINESS: Seperate from the CD committee April
Rodgers and Jean Rodgers will be putting together the 2010 Santa Clause parade,
-April is hosting motorcycle ride & BBQ on June 19th at Whytock Park, with proceeds to support a local charity
-Possibly registering as a charity
-As of June 1, Jean Rodgers is the volunteer coordinator

Canada Day Events Committee has not posted any minutes. This is because we are currently meeting every two weeks to ensure that the Country N' Bluegrass Festival will go off with out any complications. When we reschedule regular meetings once a month, we will resume our minutes.
